Thanks, I have added them to my list. I'm behind on new music this year.
What do you think of Panopticon? I like the wildlife samples, in particular the cranes, but the albums are so damn long, and I'm not a fan of the mixing.
I admit, I have never really listened to Panopticon... Just songs here and there. It's good, and Austin Lunn knows what he's doing. That being said, Lunn is some kind of wacky anarcho-communist... Which is the main reason why I have not engaged with the project proper. But, I have enjoyed what I've listened to.
I've heard he's some kind of commie, but from the music itself he comes across more like a "billions must die" Linkola type. Which is one of the more respectable forms of leftism because it has no chance of winning, one, and two it doesn't try to pretend that we can both import a gorillian bomalians and still save the spotted owl.
Went and listened to the new Panopticon after commenting. Didn't even know there was one. It's great, I think, and a good starting point. The Scar of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness is a badass album title and a great listen, too.
I'll have to check it out. Ultimately if the music is good, I don't care that much about a bands political leanings/affiliations. What Lunn does is 100% legit.
Great music to hack apart my enemies with a zweihänder, thanks for sharing 💯
The Leander is good. I see what you mean by southern- the guitar reminds me of Molly Hatchet.
